ABOUT US

Adamo Akakura provides centrally located accommodation in the vibrant Akakura Onsen ski village with easy access to the best experience that Myoko has to offer.  This includes some of the deepest and most reliable powder skiing in the world and the only "ski village" in the greater Myoko Kogen mountain area.

Offering 14 ensuite rooms with a mixture of traditional Japanese and Western comforts.   Room rate includes a complimentary breakfast with hot option served each morning in our dining area.

A short walk through the village takes guests to the bottom of either the Yodel or Panorama lifts and the numerous ski schools.  Alternatively, jump on a shuttle bus to one of the numerous other snow resorts in the area to try something new (eg. Suginohara, Ikenotaira, Kanko, Seki Onsen, Madarao, Nozawa – to name a few).

We are surrounded by English and Japanese speaking snow rental companies carrying the latest gear.  Joey's Myoko is right next door, Aoyama Sports and Myoko Snowsports are just a short walk away. Prebooking your ski lessons is a MUST, you can do this at Myoko Snowsports.

After a long day in the JAPOW, you can enjoy a steaming hot shower in your ensuite room or make a booking in our private onsen.

Complimentary pick-ups and delivery from the Myokokogen train station are available, as well as a paid shuttle service to other resorts. To book these services (which are limited), you will need to see our friendly staff at reception.

THE VILLAGE

The Akakura Onsen village is unique being the only 'village' amongst the four ski resorts of Myoko Kogen. This makes it the center for apres and nightlife activities.  The streets are lined with cozy lodges, traditional family-run restaurants, bars and relaxing onsens, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere making it ideal for both families and adventure-seekers. Adamo Akakura is perfectly located to enable guests to take full advantage of the village life, enjoying an authentic Japanese alpine experience.

SNOW

With average snowfall of over 100cm per week from mid-December to mid-March, Myoko Kogen is simply the best deep powder skiing and snowboarding destination that Japan has to offer.
